Spiritualitas Tanpa Gereja: Tren, Luka, dan Harapan Komunitas yang Baru

Abstract:
This article explores the transformation of the church in the digital age through an interdisciplinary approach between theology and sociology of religion with reference to the developed Digital Ecclesiology framework. This paper highlights how digital media such as YouTube, Instagram, podcasts, and online conferencing platforms are becoming a new spiritual space for Christians, especially those who feel marginalized by the institutional church. Practices such as online worship, virtual discipleship, and online progressive theology discussions demonstrate a shift in the ecclesiastical paradigm from institutional structures to more fluid and participatory digital networks. The article also criticizes the lack of space in traditional churches for doubt, critical discussion, and authentic faith experiences. Thus, a theological re-imagining of the church is needed not only as a physical building, but as a community that listens, embraces, and builds a contextual and inclusive spirituality. This article concludes that the digital church is not simply a technological adaptation, but an opportunity to redefine ecclesiology in the contemporary socio-religious landscape.

Artikel ini mengeksplorasi transformasi gereja dalam era digital melalui pendekatan interdisipliner antara teologi dan sosiologi agama dengan mengacu pada kerangka Digital Ecclesiology yang dikembangkan. Tulisan ini menyoroti bagaimana media digital seperti YouTube, Instagram, podcast, dan platform konferensi daring menjadi ruang spiritual baru bagi umat Kristen, terutama mereka yang merasa terpinggirkan oleh gereja institusional. Praktik-praktik seperti ibadah daring, pemuridan virtual, dan diskusi teologi progresif secara online menunjukkan pergeseran paradigma gerejawi dari struktur institusional menuju jaringan digital yang lebih cair dan partisipatif. Artikel ini juga mengkritisi minimnya ruang dalam gereja tradisional bagi keraguan, diskusi kritis, dan pengalaman iman yang otentik. Dengan demikian, diperlukan reimajinasi teologis terhadap gereja bukan hanya sebagai bangunan fisik, melainkan sebagai komunitas yang mendengarkan, merangkul, dan membangun spiritualitas yang kontekstual serta inklusif. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa gereja digital bukan sekadar adaptasi teknologi, tetapi merupakan peluang untuk meredefinisi ekklesiologi dalam lanskap sosial-keagamaan kontemporer.
